* Minimum RAM requirements to run ESPRIT alone. 32 GB or more is recommended if you plan to run ESPRIT concurrently with other memory-intensive software (e.g., 3D CAD applications).
** The recommended NVMe SSDs offer faster access and transfer than SATA bus SSDs. Pro-model SATA SSDs are also acceptable.
Installation Instructions
Please follow the steps below for the installation of ESPRIT.
- Once you have downloaded the ISO, right-click on the ISO file and choose “mount”*
- Click on “This PC” and double-click on the DVD drive for ESPRIT
- Right-click on ESPRIT.exe and choose “Run as administrator” to start the installation
- Click “Install product,” located on the left of the display
- Scroll through the license agreement and check the box to read and accept the license terms
- Click “Next step,” located on the left of the display
- Use the default selection for typical installation and choose “Next step,” located on the left of the display
- On the software activation page, check both boxes:
- The customer code and serial number are located on your ESPRIT USB security key
- Enter a valid email address
- Click “Ready to install,” located to the left
- At the end of installation, click “Finalize Installation”.
- Click “Skip Security Activation”
- Click “Finish installation”
- ESPRIT should start automatically.
- If you have not setup your license, ESPRIT Security Manager starts automatically. Continue with license activation instructions.
*If you’re using Windows 7, you’ll need a third-party application to mount the ISO image file. We recommend the Virtual Clone Drive by Elby.
NVIDIA 3D Preferred Graphics Processor Setting
- After the NVIDIA hardware and drivers are correctly installed, right-click on any empty point on the desktop.
- Select NVIDIA Control Panel from the context menu.
- In the NVIDIA Control Panel, click on Manage 3D Settings.
- Click on the Program Settings tab.
- Click on the dropdown menu under Select a program to customize
- Find and select ESPRIT from the list of programs.
- If you cannot find it in the list, click Add, select ESPRIT from the program list, and click Add Selected Program.
- Click on the dropdown menu under Select the preferred graphics processor for this program: and select High- performance NVIDIA Processor.
Activating Local/Non-Network License
Make sure your ESPRIT USB security key is plugged in.
- On the Security Manager (x64) toolbar select the blue activation button located to the top left
- Select activate or get license with the internet
- Enter your customer code and serial number located on your ESPRIT USB security key
- Select finish
- You can set any license as a default by double clicking the license, a green arrow will show next to it indicating that it has been set as a default
- Close the security manager and you can now open ESPRIT
Activating Floating License
- On the Security Manager (x64) toolbar, click the blue activation button to the top left
- Select "add server connection"
- Type in the IP address of the license server in both the name field and the IP address field (note: it is preferable for connection speed if you only use the IP address for both fields, but you can browse to the server instead)
- You should then see the licenses shown under the server pc name
- Close the security manager and you can now open ESPRIT
How to Register?
If you do not have a registration:
- Activate your license then open ESPRIT, you will get a window asking you to register. Fill this registration window and you will get an e-mail that confirm your registration.
- Or contact us by email at esprit@hexagon.com and include your:
- First Name
- Last Name
- Email Address
- Phone Number
- Company
- License Serial Number
Once you register you will have access to ESPRIT Web.
